About Dedicate
Committed to the wellbeing of carers
As the term ‘carer’ can have different meanings or create different feelings for people we are offering the following description of a carer:
Caring for/about
Another,
Regardless of
Experience or
Role
This situates the term ‘carer’ within many relationships we might have in life, and so within Dedicate there isn’t a set criteria for when might officially term oneself a carer. Within Dedicate it is your desire for information, guidance, support, or perhaps a more general curiosity that we see as our meeting place and a place to connect.

Our values
Our values and guiding principles are what the Dedicate team are striving to enact within this work.
They are the values and guiding principles for relationships within the Dedicate team, with you, and with our collaborators.
Trustworthiness
We want to feel safe in the knowledge that we have done our best to offer an experience that is valuable and valued, that people can rely on Dedicate to be consistent in the quality of what it offers.
Trustworthiness for us also includes that we are transparent and give due credit to those we collaborate with, with our aim being to further their reach and maximise the benefit of their work.
Humility
Our purpose and hope is to keep on learning- both in terms of new resources or services we can offer, and also continuing to adapt existing content based on your experience and what you would value. We take seriously our responsibility to use AI ethically, and recognise that this an emerging area that we will endeavour to be pioneering in how we mitigate against potential risks within this.
We also want to be clear on what Dedicate is, and what it isn’t in order that your hopes in using Dedicate can be realised.
Diversity
Our keenness to learn means that we will continue to value a wide range of experiences and expertise. We recognise the vast array of experiences and situations that exist within the context of offering care/support to another person. We will not claim to be able to offer specific content for each situation, we will however endeavour to create content which speaks to the core of human experience and therefore has the greatest potential to be relevant across a wide range of contexts.
